Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Recovery Officer to handle debt management in line with client policies and procedures. The role involves engaging customers to recover debts, negotiating repayment plans, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Some customer interactions may take place outside regular working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out debt recovery actions using approved systems and procedures.
• Communicate with customers through different channels to update them on their debt status and recovery options.
• Negotiate fair and achievable repayment plans.
• Report significant issues or insights to the Recovery Performance Manager.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards, customer service principles, and company policies.

Requirements

• HND, OND, or BSc in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in debt recovery.
• Good knowledge of collections and legal recovery processes.
• Experience using financial management systems.
• Understanding of customer service standards and compliance requirements.
