Role Overview

The Reporting, Regulatory Matters, and Tariffs Specialist will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting tariff analysis for Ikeja Electric. The position involves interpreting tariff methodologies, developing financial models, and preparing reports to guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and simulate tariff models to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and compliance with MYTO methodologies.
• Review MYTO model assumptions, identify inconsistencies, and prepare formal submissions to NERC.
• Update and expand tariff models to include monthly projections, ATC&C losses, and customer category load distribution.
• Prepare and submit tariff design structures that meet regulatory standards and support business goals.
• Maintain regulatory filing records and support compliance activities.
• Liaise with Market Operators and NBET on billing and settlement matters.
• Analyze the financial implications of load allocation reports and ensure compliance with market settlement rules.
• Forecast five-year tariff paths under various scenarios and provide regulatory impact insights to internal teams.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and tariff analysis.
• Professional qualification in accounting (ACA or ACCA) is required.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong understanding of Nigeria’s power sector and NERC regulations.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Knowledge of accounting policies, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting.
