Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in assessing and diagnosing medical conditions. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound scans while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate ultrasound machines to capture clear, accurate images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow
  • Adjust settings and positioning for optimal image quality
  • Review images for quality and provide preliminary observations to medical staff
  • Keep accurate records, maintain patient data, and store images properly
  • Support doctors during ultrasound-guided procedures when needed
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound equipment according to standards
  • Follow professional ethics, infection control, and safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly with patients and provide emotional support during procedures
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent qualification
  • Certified or licensed by recognized bodies (ARDMS, NIMLS, or similar)
  • At least 3 years of hands-on clinical experience in diagnostic sonography
  • Strong understanding of ultrasound technology, anatomy, and imaging techniques
  • Physically able to assist patients and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A caring, professional approach to patient care
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including shifts and on-call duty

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 per month
