Job Title: Talent Development and Placement Manager

Role Overview

The Talent Development and Placement Manager will coordinate training, mentorship, and job placement activities for young people in the Youth in Work program. The role focuses on helping youth develop workplace skills, explore freelance opportunities, and connect with employers and partners that can support their growth.

Key Responsibilities
Coaching for Employability

• Deliver virtual and hybrid sessions on career discovery, personal branding, CV writing, portfolio development, and job search strategies
• Support youth through mock interviews, communication skills, and professional conduct
• Supervise a six week mentorship program focused on workplace readiness

Talent Development

• Conduct assessments to identify skill gaps and development needs
• Create and deliver employability programs that align with current job market demands
• Review program performance using assessments and career tracking activities

Placement Facilitation

• Share job, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities with participants
• Build and manage a structured talent database for work readiness and skill categories
• Support candidates with CV updates, interview preparation, and post placement follow up

Freelance Pathway Support

• Facilitate practical workshops on freelancing, pricing, client management, and business planning
• Build relationships with freelance platforms and creative industry partners
• Stay informed on freelance trends and use insights to improve program delivery

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

• Recommend and manage training and placement partners
• Strengthen relationships with employers and external stakeholders
• Work with internal teams to ensure smooth program delivery
• Track and report progress on workshops, partnerships, placements, and talent outcomes
• Support advocacy initiatives that promote youth employment

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business or related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in youth employment, career coaching, or talent development in Nigeria
• Experience creating and delivering skills based training programs
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian job market and freelance ecosystem
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Interest in youth development and social impact

Salary

₦400000 to ₦450000 per month
