Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented YouTube/Podcast Video Editor to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing and producing engaging video and audio content for YouTube and podcast platforms. You will ensure that every episode delivers clear sound, professional visuals, and a captivating viewer and listener experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and enhance podcast and video episodes to improve clarity, pacing, and engagement.
• Clean and balance audio by removing background noise and optimizing sound levels.
• Add intros, outros, sound effects, and background music to enrich overall quality.
• Collaborate with producers and hosts to ensure storytelling consistency and tone.
• Create short clips and highlights for social media promotion.
• Optimize videos for YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
• Stay updated on video and podcast editing trends to improve audience engagement.
• Organize and manage media files efficiently.
• Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and creative goals.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Proven experience in podcast or video editing.
• Strong knowledge of tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, Descript, or Adobe Audition.
• Understanding of sound design, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Portfolio showcasing previous editing work.
• Experience editing interviews, panel discussions, or solo episodes.
• Familiarity with YouTube and social media optimization.
• Knowledge of copyright-safe music and sound effects.

Salary

• Monthly Salary: ₦250,000
• Monthly Data Allowance: ₦25,000
• Fully remote position with opportunities for professional growth.
