Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to handle the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments. This role involves verifying all supplier documentation, managing reconciliations, and maintaining updated financial records in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounts Payable process for Dangote Cement Plc’s corporate office

• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and staff advances

• Handle supplier queries and escalate unresolved issues when needed

• Reconcile supplier accounts with the general ledger each month

• Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and flag discrepancies

• Review and validate all supplier documentation before approval

• Keep a detailed report of outstanding invoices and aging accounts

• Recommend improvements to invoice processing procedures

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Prepare regular activity reports for the Head of Office Accounting

• Support additional finance-related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage

• 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or similar roles

• Familiarity with IFRS and financial best practices

• Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
