About the Role

We are looking for an organized and proactive professional to join our Risk Department as an Area Collections Executive. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving collection processes for our PAYG solar products in the field, while also providing feedback and strategies to improve customer repayment and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assess regional repayment performance and create daily, weekly, and monthly strategies to improve collections
• Conduct market visits to verify sales quality and gather insights to guide repayment strategies
• Provide weekly updates on field interventions, outcomes, and customer feedback to Sales and Risk teams
• Develop and implement effective collection processes that improve repayment rates and customer experience
• Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to recover products from delinquent customers where necessary
• Report cases of product tampering or fraudulent practices in line with company processes
• Train Field Sales Executives on handling repossessions and challenging customer collection situations
• Monitor and follow up with Field Officers to ensure timely completion of collection calls and repossession tasks
• Recruit and manage cash collection centers within designated areas

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar role, preferably with field experience and exposure to rural communities
• Background in microfinance, fintech, or banking with credit collections or debt recovery experience is an advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in the field to drive collections and resolve customer issues
• Ability to work effectively with multiple sales and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with the territory is a plus
