Job Title: Assistant Operations Shift Supervisor
Location: Ewekoro, Ogun State
Function: Contract Delivery
Category: Engineering

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain the plant during shifts in line with company policies, procedures, and operational plans
  • Handle plant start-up, shut-down, and day-to-day operations according to established instructions
  • Keep accurate operation records including logs, checklists, and running reports
  • Support corrective actions during operational disturbances or system challenges
  • Communicate equipment conditions, deviations, or disturbances to the Shift Supervisor and colleagues
  • Monitor alarms, parameters, and performance data of engines and auxiliary systems, ensuring proper follow-up
  • Follow all safety protocols including lock-out, tag-out, and emergency procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and accessories are used effectively for long-term performance
  • Provide complete handover updates to the relieving operator on plant conditions and abnormalities
  • Execute work according to Wartsila’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines, along with customer site standards
  • Organize and assign tasks to maximize team efficiency and meet set targets
  • Prepare accurate and timely operational reports for stakeholders
  • Conduct daily performance analysis of engines and highlight areas of improvement
Required Qualifications
  • HND, B.Eng. or B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in power plant operations
