Role Overview
The Assistant Production Manager will support daily production activities within the factory. This role involves supervising production staff, monitoring material usage, and ensuring smooth workflow on the production floor. The ideal candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with production teams to meet set targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily activities on the production floor
• Ensure production staff meet hourly and daily output targets
• Monitor the use of raw materials to reduce waste
• Track finished goods and production output levels
• Assist in planning and coordinating production schedules
• Report production challenges and delays to management
• Support compliance with internal quality and safety standards
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of a relevant diploma or degree in production, manufacturing, food science, or a related field
• Previous experience in a production or factory environment is required
• Basic understanding of food processing operations
• Strong organisational and supervision skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to work onsite in Enugu or Lagos
Salary
Monthly salary ranges between N200,000 and N300,000
