Role Overview

The Assistant Showroom Manager will support the showroom manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, maintaining stock and merchandising, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The role ensures smooth showroom operations, drives sales, and maintains high standards of appearance and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all daily operations at the showroom.

• Maintain administration, reporting, and planning systems; issue timely management and statistical reports.

• Oversee cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies.

• Plan and implement store merchandising, layout, and customer traffic flow to maximize sales, customer satisfaction, and showroom appearance.

• Supervise selling and customer service activities and ensure staff competence in these areas.

• Monitor costs, overheads, and all factors affecting showroom profitability.

• Enforce quality and customer service standards to provide excellent service.

• Supervise stock movement activities: in/out, transfer, sales, etc.

• Ensure adequate showroom stock to prevent shortages and perform timely replenishment.

• Maintain a neat and tidy showroom to attract and retain clients.

• Coordinate sales reps’ daily tasks and set clear targets and KPIs.

• Assist in budgeting and merchandise planning.

• Provide training and support to sales reps falling short of targets or KPIs.

• Assist in creating and maintaining strong visual merchandising in the showroom.

• Handle customer complaints, compensation, and home damages to ensure satisfaction.

• Manage showroom inventory and materials ordering.

• Carry out special projects as assigned by the showroom manager.

• Ensure sales reps comply with company policies and procedures.

• Monitor daily attendance of sales reps and report irregularities weekly.

• Train sales reps on products and services offered by the company.

• Follow up on after-sales services and provide solutions for issues raised.

• Provide periodic performance feedback on sales reps for promotion, transfer, or other decisions.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the showroom manager.

Qualifications and Skills

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

• 3–5 years of experience in showroom, retail, or sales management.

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies.

• Ability to plan, organize, and monitor multiple tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in relevant software and reporting tools.

Salary

N100,000 – N120,000 monthly
