We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Officer to join our team in Lagos. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal audit plans and programs to evaluate internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with company policies and regulations
• Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential risk and propose strategies to strengthen controls
• Carry out internal audits of business operations, processes, and functions to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
• Review financial statements, accounting records, and other financial documents for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Analyze data and trends to identify discrepancies, irregularities, and possible fraud, and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings, observations, and recommendations to management
• Work with management to develop action plans to address audit findings and improve processes
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution and effectiveness
• Provide advice to management on best practices in internal control, risk management, and process improvements
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry developments, and best practices in internal audit and corporate governance
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and external audits
• Participate in special projects, investigations, or initiatives assigned by senior management
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information
• Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organization
• Support the continuous improvement of internal audit processes and functions

Qualifications

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
