Role Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical Audit Officer to support internal audit activities across our retail operations. The role involves reviewing financial records, verifying stock movements, checking compliance with internal controls, and identifying improvement areas in store processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic audits across assigned retail store locations
• Review sales records, cash reports, and transaction logs for accuracy
• Verify stock counts, stock movements, and investigate variances
• Assess internal control systems and recommend process improvements
• Prepare audit working papers and initial audit reports
• Support compliance checks on store operations and SOP adherence
• Monitor cashier operations, POS usage, and cash handling practices
• Assist in detecting fraud, loss, or irregularities
• Work with store managers to address audit findings
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold audit integrity

Qualifications and Skills

• OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• One to two years of experience in audit, internal control, or accounting
• Retail or FMCG experience is an advantage
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting tools
• High attention to detail with strong documentation ability
• Able to work independently and travel to store locations when required
• Must reside in Victoria Island or Lekki for easy commute

Salary

N200000 to N250000 monthly depending on experience
