Role Overview

We are hiring a Bakery Production Manager to oversee daily baking operations and ensure consistent product quality. This role involves managing production processes, supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and controlling costs while supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will be practical, organized, and experienced in bakery production management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily bakery production, including dough preparation, pastries, and desserts
• Ensure all baked products meet set quality, appearance, and consistency standards
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for production processes
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise bakery staff
• Monitor staff performance and promote a positive and productive work environment
• Manage raw materials, ingredients, and production supplies
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with regulations
• Track production costs, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
• Work with sales or front-of-house teams to support customer satisfaction and sales growth
• Handle production-related customer feedback and complaints when necessary

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in bakery or food production management
• Strong knowledge of baking processes and quality control
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to manage inventory, costs, and production schedules
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Salary

Monthly salary range: N150,000 to N200,000
