Job Summary
The Biology Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to Senior Secondary (SS1–SS3) students in line with the Nigerian National Policy on Education and Jesuit Memorial College guidelines. The role requires covering the school’s scheme of work comprehensively while helping students apply Biology concepts to everyday life. Teachers at Jesuit Memorial College are also expected to serve as role models to students.
Qualifications
- B.Ed. in Biology or an equivalent qualification is required
- Advanced degree or additional qualification in Biology is an advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role
- Additional experience related to Biology is an added advantage
Personal Qualities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good command of the English language
- Understanding of adolescent psychology
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
