Job Title: Business Relationship Manager

Location: Niger

About the Role

The Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for acquiring new merchants, building strong client relationships, and developing strategies to drive business growth. The role requires a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire new customers by promoting and selling the bank’s products and services
  • Cross-sell financial products to meet client needs
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calls, networking, and digital channels
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve business goals
  • Conduct regular sales team meetings and review performance to ensure targets are met
  • Build and maintain long-term business relationships with clients
  • Carry out market research to identify opportunities and understand customer needs
  • Represent the brand at community events, trade fairs, and marketing activities
  • Deliver product presentations and training to customers
  • Provide feedback from customers to internal teams for service improvement
  • Assess customer financial needs and recommend suitable products and services
Requirements
  • 4–5 years of proven sales experience in banking, fintech, or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services sector and local market trends
  • Hands-on experience in merchant acquisition, onboarding, and account management
  • Background in selling lending services and POS devices to corporate clients is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently and achieve set goals with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and business development skills
  • A degree from a recognized tertiary institution
