Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join our in-patient nursing and rehabilitation team. The Care Assistant will provide daily care, comfort, and safety support to patients, ensuring their well-being and dignity are maintained. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and passionate about helping patients regain independence through quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assisted or bed bathing and helping patients with hygiene needs.

• Support patients during feeding times and ensure dietary needs are met.

• Change soiled diapers, bed linens, and maintain patient hygiene at all times.

• Assist patients in using the bathroom and ensure comfort during transfers using appropriate equipment.

• Engage patients in social and recreational activities such as games, music, or storytelling to improve emotional well-being.

• Create a comfortable, respectful, and home-like environment for patients.

• Maintain patient confidentiality while reporting any safety or health concerns that could lead to harm.

• Provide emotional support to patients and communicate effectively with families and healthcare teams.

• Follow infection prevention and control protocols, including hand hygiene and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Ensure a clean and safe environment and report potential hazards immediately.

• Adhere to standard care procedures, including two-hourly repositioning, feeding assistance, oral care, and dressing preparation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Caregiver Certificate or equivalent qualification.

• 1–3 years of proven experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role.

• Must reside within the Lekki–Ajah axis for easy commute.

• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow care procedures and work effectively in a team environment.

• Good understanding of patient confidentiality and safety protocols.

Salary

₦75,000 Monthly
