About the Role

The Cashier will handle all financial transactions at Adia Hospital with accuracy and professionalism. This role involves managing cash transactions, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring that patients and visitors receive excellent customer service. The Cashier also plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records for the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately handle all cash transactions, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and processing refunds
• Manage patient billing inquiries and assist with payment options and insurance claims
• Maintain clear and accurate transaction records and documentation
• Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift
• Support financial reports and audits as needed
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients and visitors
• Work closely with other departments to ensure correct billing and payment processing
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and regulations

Qualifications

• HND, OND or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
• Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar position
• Strong numerical and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Proficiency in cash registers, POS systems and basic accounting software
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
• Customer-focused with a friendly and professional attitude
• Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly
