We are currently hiring to fill the role of Cashier in our Lokoja office.
Job Title: Cashier
Location: Lokoja, Kogi State
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide excellent service during transactions
- Handle cash, POS, and mobile money payments with accuracy
- Process receipts, refunds, and other transactions correctly
- Keep accurate daily records of cash inflows and outflows
- Balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shift
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with queries and provide directions where necessary
- Report any discrepancies or unusual transactions to management
Qualifications and Requirements
- OND, SSCE, or NCE qualification
- Previous experience as a cashier, teller, or customer service staff is an added advantage
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills
- Strong integrity, honesty, and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systems
