Role Overview

The Chief Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the bank’s financial activities and ensuring strong financial control, growth, and compliance. This role requires a senior finance professional who can support business goals, guide financial decisions, and work closely with management to maintain financial stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and long-term goals
  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities
  • Supervise and guide the finance team to ensure accuracy and accountability
  • Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for management decision-making
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support daily operations
  • Maintain relationships with regulators, lenders, auditors, and other financial partners
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, CBN regulations, and internal controls
  • Identify financial risks and implement measures to reduce exposure
  • Work with other departments to support business planning and expansion
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • MBA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA will be an added advantage
  • Strong experience in a senior finance role within banking or financial services
  • Good knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to analyze financial data and present clear insights
  • Good communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with financial software and reporting tools
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment
  • Ability to adapt and perform well in a fast-changing environment
