Job Title: Chinese Translator

Location: Kama Otto, Nasarawa State

Employment Type: Full time, on site

Role Overview

We are hiring a Chinese Translator to support daily operations at our mining and production site. This role requires strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both Chinese and English. The successful candidate will help ensure smooth communication between Chinese management and Nigerian staff across production, security, and technical activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate written documents from Chinese to English and from English to Chinese
• Interpret spoken communication during meetings, site discussions, and daily work activities
• Support communication between the security team and Chinese management
• Translate security related documents, patrol reports, and emergency plans
• Assist with security patrol coordination and communication during emergencies
• Support the Head of Production with supervision of daily factory activities
• Monitor production operations and report progress clearly to management
• Translate production reports, meeting notes, and technical training materials
• Help bridge cultural understanding between Chinese and Nigerian teams

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with two to three years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in mining, technical, or business settings
• Strong written and spoken skills in Chinese and English
• Ability to clearly hear, speak, and interpret the Chinese language
• Hausa language skills are an added advantage
• Experience studying or working in China is an advantage
• Responsible, organized, and able to manage tasks effectively

Salary

N450,000 to N600,000 per month
