Role Summary
The Civil Engineer will assist the Site Engineer in managing construction activities, ensuring projects are completed in line with approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. This position involves direct involvement in site supervision, progress tracking, quality control, and collaboration with different teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support on-site supervision to ensure work aligns with approved plans and safety requirements
- Monitor project progress, measurements, and quantities for billing and verification
- Ensure all work complies with technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinate the handling and storage of construction materials
- Assist in conducting quality control checks and preparing reports
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
- Promote safety awareness and report any hazards
- Liaise with subcontractors, team members, and senior engineers
- Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues
- Prepare and submit progress reports to management
- Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve site-related challenges
- Ensure adherence to company procedures and standards
- Participate in site meetings, contributing to discussions on project progress and solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3+ years of proven experience as a site engineer or similar role in construction projects
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or Revit
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control
