Job Title: Cluster Supervisor – Jigawa LQAS Survey

Role Overview
We are recruiting Cluster Supervisors to support the End of Round (EoR) evaluation survey in Jigawa using the Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) method. The supervisor will oversee field data collection, ensure adherence to protocols, and contribute to quality reporting. This position plays a vital role in monitoring the effectiveness of mass drug administration (MDA) campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a 2-day physical training session led by national consultants
- Co-facilitate training for data collectors using engaging, adult-focused methods such as role play, group discussions, and demonstrations
- Supervise data collectors in the field using standard checklists and tools
- Manage logistics, community entry, and mobilization for smooth data collection
- Monitor and validate real-time data using platforms like Kobo Collect or SurveyCTO
- Document field activities, challenges, and key learnings in a final supervision report
Deliverables
- A detailed Supervision Schedule that aligns with local government operational plans
- A Supervision Report highlighting:
- Achievements and success stories
- Operational challenges and how they were addressed
- Lessons learned and suggestions for future improvements
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Social Sciences, Public Health, or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public health research, with a focus on data collection
- Comfortable using mobile devices and digital tools for surveys
- Previous experience with LQAS surveys is a plus
- Ability to speak the local language and navigate the community with cultural sensitivity
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Important Notes
Applicants must:
- Not be currently employed by government at any level
- Not be involved in the MDA-AZM project in any capacity
- Not have been blacklisted in previous activities
