Job Summary

We are hiring a Credit Officer to handle loan applications, assess client creditworthiness, monitor repayment activities, and ensure compliance with credit policies. The role requires maintaining a strong loan portfolio, reducing risks, and providing clients with financial support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and analyze applicants’ financial records, credit history, and repayment ability
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend approvals or rejections based on set criteria
• Track and monitor repayment activities to reduce default rates
• Keep accurate records of applications, approvals, disbursements, and repayments
• Carry out field visits to verify client information and assess collateral

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• Previous experience in credit analysis, loan processing, or banking
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and risk assessment abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of loan management software is an added advantage
