Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Officer to assess client loan applications, evaluate financial information, and manage credit risk. The ideal candidate will support clients through the lending process, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely loan disbursement and repayment. This role is perfect for someone with strong customer service skills and an interest in financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process loan applications.
• Assess clients’ financial status and verify documentation.
• Evaluate creditworthiness using risk ratios and financial indicators.
• Contact clients to gather required financial information.
• Approve or reject loans based on assessment results.
• Set up repayment plans and follow up on renewals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all loan applications and repayments.
• Monitor ongoing loans and track repayment progress.
• Conduct daily and weekly repayment collections.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience as a Credit Officer or Loan Officer is an advantage (not compulsory).
• Good understanding of lending procedures and financial products.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to create and interpret financial spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• NCE/OND/HND/BSc in Banking & Finance, Economics, or related fields.

Starting Salary: ₦100,000
