Role Overview

We are hiring a Credit Officer to support our lending operations in Offa, Kwara State. This role involves reviewing loan requests, assessing customer creditworthiness, and ensuring proper loan documentation. The ideal candidate should understand basic lending processes, be detail-oriented, and have good customer service skills. You will play an important role in helping clients access loans while ensuring company policies and repayment standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process loan applications
• Assess customers’ financial information and repayment ability
• Evaluate credit risks and recommend approval or rejection of loans
• Collect and verify financial documents from clients
• Prepare loan records and repayment schedules
• Set up and manage loan repayment plans
• Maintain accurate and updated loan files
• Follow up on loan renewals and repayments
• Monitor active loans and track repayment progress
• Handle daily and weekly loan repayment collections

Qualifications and Skills

• NCE, OND, HND, or B.Sc in Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• Previous experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or in a similar role
• Good knowledge of loan products and lending procedures
• Ability to work with basic financial records and spreadsheets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service experience is an added advantage
