Job Title: Credit Relationship Officer
Location: Kado, Abuja FCT

Role Overview
The Credit Relationship Officer will manage client relationships, drive loan sales, assess credit applications, and support portfolio performance. This role requires someone who understands small business financing, enjoys working with clients, and can meet sales and disbursement targets while following credit policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and engage prospective clients through direct sales and relationship building
• Promote loan products and financial solutions to eligible businesses
• Achieve monthly loan and Proof of Funds disbursement targets
• Conduct credit assessments and prepare appraisal reports for review and approval
• Perform desk reviews and onsite business due diligence
• Analyze financial records to determine client creditworthiness
• Capture KYC and financial details into the credit management system
• Maintain proper documentation for all credit cases
• Monitor loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of default
• Apply loan penalties and initiate recovery actions when required
• Support collections and business recovery processes in line with company policy
• Provide financial guidance to clients based on their business needs
• Draft credit offer letters outlining loan terms and conditions
• Share process improvement ideas with the Credit and Business Development Manager
• Work with internal teams to support market expansion strategies
• Carry out other tasks assigned by the line manager
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Experience in banking, finance, investment, credit management, or direct sales
• Strong understanding of small and medium business financing
• Ability to meet and exceed sales and revenue targets
• Good communication, presentation, and reporting skills
• Strong analytical and financial assessment skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant tools
• NYSC completion is required
Salary
Monthly salary ranges from N150,000 to N350,000, depending on experience and role level, with additional benefits.
