Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to take ownership of both strategic and hands-on security initiatives. This role combines system architecture design with operational responsibilities, including monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate should be proactive, technically strong, and able to communicate complex security concepts in simple terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure system architecture and cybersecurity frameworks
- Monitor threats in real time using SIEM tools and lead incident response activities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and manage remediation
- Configure and maintain firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and patch management tools
- Develop and update incident response plans while leading investigations when needed
- Perform forensic analysis and log reviews to identify causes and prevent future risks
- Ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001
- Oversee identity and access management with role-based access controls
- Implement security measures in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Collaborate with teams to integrate security best practices across all functions
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation for leadership and audits
- Deliver cybersecurity awareness training and encourage a strong security culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity within technology-driven environments
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA are an advantage
- Strong understanding of encryption, network protocols, and risk management
- Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Nessus, Wireshark, Palo Alto, and cloud security systems
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and reporting skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain security to non-technical teams
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized professional
