Job Title: Database Administrator

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize our mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring database stability, performance, and security while supporting ongoing business operations and technology projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software
• Manage and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, procedures, and triggers
• Perform capacity planning, tuning, and optimization to enhance performance
• Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and other high availability solutions
• Implement and manage monitoring tools including OEM, AWR, and ASH
• Develop and oversee RMAN-based backup and recovery strategies
• Ensure strict database security, access control, and compliance with audit standards
• Troubleshoot issues, handle change requests, and maintain system documentation
• Provide support for database re-architecture, instance creation, and optimization initiatives

Requirements

• B.Sc. Degree with 5 to 8 years of proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
• Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, AWR, and ASH
• Demonstrated experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation
• Solid understanding of database security, compliance, and high-availability practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Salary

N350,000 – N600,000 per month
