Role Overview

The Economics Tutor will be responsible for teaching Economics to secondary school students and supporting their academic development. The role requires strong subject knowledge, good classroom management, and a passion for helping students understand economic concepts clearly.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics to assigned classes according to the school curriculum
• Attend all scheduled classes promptly and consistently
• Prepare and conduct class tests, assignments, projects, and examinations
• Mark students’ work and maintain accurate continuous assessment records
• Participate in afternoon lesson sessions as stated on the timetable
• Support students academically and encourage good study habits
• Work closely with other teaching staff to maintain academic standards

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Education with Economics from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a secondary school
• Strong understanding of Economics concepts and ability to explain them clearly
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent classroom organization and record-keeping ability
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Capable of working independently and within a team

Salary

N100,000 to N120,000 monthly
