Role Overview

The Electrical Technician will support maintenance operations and ensure all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery perform effectively. The role involves routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The technician will work closely with production teams, especially within a food-related manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance during shifts and record findings using approved checklists.
• Work with machine operators to resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carry out routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of factory equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of machines and work areas.
• Follow all workplace safety rules and procedures.
• Complete assigned work orders and support maintenance planning.
• Check and confirm the quality of completed maintenance tasks.
• Identify needed spare parts and support inventory planning.
• Inspect incoming engineering materials for quality and accuracy.
• Update stock records and share regular inventory reports.
• Apply 5S principles when handling tools and managing workspaces.
• Follow GMP standards when working in production zones.
• Document daily maintenance activities and share reports with supervisors.
• Support the company’s quality and food safety systems, including QMS and FSSC 22000.
• Report any quality or food safety risks to the appropriate teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc. or HND in Electrical or related Engineering field.
• One to three years of experience in electrical maintenance within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of quality and food safety systems such as QMS and FSSC 22000.
• Ability to interpret and apply operational procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of factory safety practices.
• Ability to guide and support technical trainees.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Salary

N200,000 per month.
