Role Overview

The Entry-Level Accountant will assist the finance department in managing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role is ideal for recent graduates or NYSC members who are eager to begin a professional accounting career in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in ledgers.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and management reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Support monthly and yearly closing processes.
• Process payments, receipts, and invoices according to company policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all transactions.
• Assist in tax computations and statutory filings, including VAT, PAYE, and WHT.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Participate in internal audits and stock checks.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and financial regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (NYSC members are encouraged to apply).
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• ICAN or ACCA in progress or completed is an advantage.
• Prior experience in the ICT or technology sector is a plus.
