Role Overview
The Execution Planning Advisor I will lead execution planning activities across major projects. This role focuses on early phase planning, coordination of execution strategies, and support during project delivery. The position acts as a technical authority on execution planning and works closely with project teams, contractors, and internal functions to ensure project readiness and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution planning activities across planning and delivery stages
- Coordinate audits for contractors, suppliers, and project teams
- Plan and facilitate front end execution planning workshops
- Develop execution plans, mitigation strategies, and work programs
- Monitor project progress and resolve execution related issues
- Support project teams during the execution stage with schedule recovery and planning support
- Ensure execution planning deliverables meet project milestones and approval gates
- Track and report progress of execution planning activities to stakeholders
- Provide expert advice on execution planning during project reviews and assessments
- Support capital project management processes as assigned
- Mentor engineers and support knowledge development within the execution planning team
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Strong experience in the oil and gas industry
- Background in project management and execution roles
- Experience managing capital projects across multiple project phases
- Ability to work across teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem solving skills
- Willingness to travel for project and business needs
- Good leadership and mentoring skills
