Role Overview

The Field Operator I will be responsible for operating wells and field equipment safely and efficiently in alignment with operational and safety standards. This role ensures continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment to support daily production targets. The ideal candidate will maintain high safety awareness, execute operational procedures accurately, and collaborate with maintenance and supervisory teams to ensure smooth and reliable field operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily operational tasks in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and security standards.
  • Participate actively in toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings.
  • Monitor wells and field equipment to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform basic equipment care and simple maintenance activities as needed.
  • Report any malfunction of alarm or emergency shutdown systems.
  • Provide clear and detailed shift handover updates to maintain operational continuity.
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance tasks in line with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans.
  • Document all significant operational events, abnormalities, and observations in the logbook.
  • Collect product samples and conduct field tests for laboratory analysis.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and report incidents according to guidelines.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor regarding all operational activities.
  • Provide information related to production issues, well conditions, and current output.
  • Ensure thorough diagnostics of well problems before requesting intervention operations.
  • Verify that wellhead and surface equipment are in proper condition before any wellwork activities.
  • Support wellwork operations when required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Completed secondary education with prior experience as a Field Technician.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High safety awareness and ability to promote safe work practices among colleagues.
  • Understanding of pipeline operations and field processes.
  • Knowledge of safety and operational management tools.
  • Familiarity with emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Understanding of project philosophy, design specifications, and relevant regulations.
  • Awareness of applicable commercial agreements.
