Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support the company’s business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the finance and accounts department

• Manage and maintain the company’s financial systems and controls

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and statutory reports

• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic business decisions

• Monitor and review operating expenses to ensure cost efficiency

• Present financial results, trends, and recommendations to management

• Handle tax planning, compliance, and coordination with relevant authorities

• Manage external auditor relationships and ensure compliance with accounting standards

• Supervise banking relationships, treasury operations, and borrowing arrangements

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and management accounting functions

• Develop and implement financial best practices to improve performance and reduce costs

• Track budgets, analyze variances, and recommend improvements

• Maintain effective relationships with regulatory and statutory bodies including LIRS and FIRS

• Stay updated on changes in financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience

• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional qualification (ACA or ACCA) is an added advantage

• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in finance or accounting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software such as QuickBooks

• Experience in the power, energy, or oil and gas industry is essential

• Strong understanding of treasury management, forex operations, and letters of credit

• Sound knowledge of local and international accounting and tax regulations

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Salary

₦700,000 – ₦1,000,000 monthly, based on relevant experience and industry background
