Job Overview

The Finance Manager will oversee all financial activities of the company including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, be proficient in preparing management accounts, and be skilled in modern accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decisions
• Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and profitability reports for leadership
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all financial transactions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and tax computations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, tax, and reporting obligations (FIRS, LIRS, CAC)
• Manage internal controls and improve financial processes for operational efficiency
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, tax consultants, and government agencies
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support business growth and investment decisions
• Implement and optimize accounting software for real-time financial management

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or MSc is an advantage)
• Professional certification (ICAN or ACCA) is mandatory
• Minimum of 7 years post-NYSC experience in finance/accounting, preferably in real estate, construction, or facility management
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Nigerian tax regulations
• Proven expertise in management account preparation and cash flow forecasting
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
