Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Jimeta, Adamawa

Employment Type: Contract – 6 months (Onsite role)

Job Description

The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of the foundation. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to ensure proper planning, monitoring, and reporting of financial operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing financial duties and projects
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts to maintain financial stability
  • Drafting budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and regulatory reports
  • Managing financial risks within the organization
  • Setting and monitoring short- and long-term financial performance targets
  • Compiling financial reports and supervising month-end processes
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing department reports
  • Evaluating financial performance and measuring return on investment
  • Training staff on financial processes and compliance
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting with registration from a recognized professional body (ICAN or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within the developmental or humanitarian sector
  • Strong understanding of financial policies and organizational responsibilities
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Willingness to learn and actively participate in meetings and training programmes
  • Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Salary

₦799,994.79 per month (inclusive of statutory deductions)
