We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Government Teacher to join our Secondary School team.
Job Title: Government Teacher
Location: Ibadan, Oyo State
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive Government lessons
- Teach and prepare students for WAEC and NECO examinations in Government
- Create lesson notes, teaching aids, and assessment materials
- Encourage students to understand governance, citizenship, and civic responsibilities
- Monitor, assess, and report students’ academic performance
- Maintain discipline and create a positive, engaging classroom environment
- Take part in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Government, Social Studies Education, or a related discipline
- Professional teaching qualification (TRCN certification is an added advantage but not mandatory)
- Previous experience teaching Government at secondary school level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to education and youth development
