Job Description

The Head of Food and Beverage will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction. The position involves managing daily restaurant and lounge operations, driving profitability, leading the front-of-house team, and collaborating with the Head Chef on menu development and promotions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service for both guests and members
• Oversee daily restaurant, lounge, bar, and event operations
• Manage food and beverage sales promotions, marketing activities, and customer follow-up
• Develop and monitor budgets, cost control, and profitability targets
• Handle customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
• Manage food and beverage stock, purchasing, and inventory
• Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding service
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, food tastings, and promotions
• Monitor food and beverage quality and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Establish KPIs, schedules, and operating procedures for the department
• Conduct performance appraisals and maintain high employee retention through training and development
• Organize staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for operations
• Review competitor analysis, pricing, and industry trends to maintain competitiveness
• Attend management meetings with the CEO, GM, and Head Chef to align business strategy
• Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and smooth operation of all food and beverage facilities

Requirements

• Degree or certification in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage, or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in food and beverage management with strong leadership skills
• Solid background in fine dining and events management
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle guest concerns effectively
• Ability to manage budgets, cost controls, and profitability targets
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations (advanced food hygiene qualification is an advantage)
• IT proficiency and experience in using hospitality management systems
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Physically fit with the ability to stand and walk throughout shifts

Salary

N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly
