Role Overview

The Head of Investment will lead the bank’s investment and deposit mobilization function, develop strategic initiatives, manage key client portfolios, and drive sustainable business growth through innovative products and strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic objectives for the investment unit in alignment with bank goals

• Provide strategic advisory support to the Managing Director on market trends and future opportunities

• Create value-added deposit products and marketing strategies

• Lead and coordinate strategic partnerships to support growth and commercial outcomes

• Implement comprehensive business plans to achieve cost-effective operations and market expansion

• Drive and exceed assigned sales targets and quotas

• Prepare and present periodic reports for management and board use

• Build and maintain a strong portfolio of high-net-worth clients

• Contribute to product development and improved sales strategies

• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Recommend enhancements to organizational strategies, policies and processes

• Collaborate with treasury and other business units to support ongoing initiatives

• Plan and coordinate the activities of investment and deposit mobilization teams

• Source well-structured deposit liabilities from individuals and corporate clients

• Market and sell all bank deposit products

• Acquire new clients and manage existing deposit relationships

• Conduct due diligence to meet regulatory requirements and safeguard stakeholder interests

• Maintain a steady pipeline of qualified prospects to meet departmental targets

• Execute additional related tasks assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field

• Master’s degree (MBA) or relevant professional certification is an added advantage

• Minimum of 8 years leadership experience in portfolio management, wealth management or liability generation within the financial services industry

• Strong understanding of banking operations, compliance requirements, and market trends

Salary

N100,000 – N120,000 per month
