Sitrid International School (SIS), short for Steps In The Right Direction, is a technology-driven Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School located in the South-West area of Port Harcourt. For over 10 years, we have been providing quality education to children aged 3 months to 16 years – from daycare through to SS3.

We are currently looking to hire a passionate and skilled ICT Teacher to join our Primary School team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and tech-savvy ICT Teacher to teach digital skills to our primary pupils. You’ll be expected to deliver engaging lessons, promote digital literacy, and ensure students’ online safety, all while integrating technology to enhance learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured and engaging ICT lessons based on the Cambridge Curriculum
• Foster digital literacy including internet safety and responsible tech usage
• Ensure child protection and a safe online learning environment
• Create effective lesson plans and learning materials
• Assess student performance and provide regular feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate ICT across subjects
• Stay updated with new teaching methods and emerging technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, ICT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong understanding of computer systems and digital tools
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and tech-friendly classroom
• Creativity in lesson design and adaptability to different learning levels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Cambridge ICT or related programs
• Previous experience teaching ICT in a primary school setting
• Knowledge of digital pedagogy and its classroom application

Salary: ₦85,000 – ₦90,000 per month
