Job Title: IP Operations Engineer

Location: Lekki Phase, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to corporate clients
• Design, implement, and support IT, Security, and Network Solutions
• Troubleshoot core network issues and implement solutions
• Upgrade and configure core network equipment
• Report directly to the Head of Department
• Maintain a high standard of personal and professional responsibility
• Comply with departmental and company rules and regulations
• Execute assignments given by the Manager promptly
• Stay informed about company updates through official communication channels
• Keep up to date with relevant technologies and industry trends
• Respond to urgent client interventions to meet SLA requirements

Requirements

Education

• BSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Communication Engineering, or Telecommunications

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in network engineering

Certifications

• CCNA (mandatory)
• CCNP (preferred)

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack
• Configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience with Mikrotik and Cisco devices
• Solid understanding of Layer 3 (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and Layer 2 (VLAN, trunks, STP) technologies
• Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Unix Servers (Redhat, CentOS, Debian)
• Ability to work with equipment from multiple vendors
• Network topology design and corporate consultancy experience
• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems
• LAC/LNS implementation and troubleshooting expertise
• MPLS L2VPN, L3VPN, and VPLS knowledge (added advantage)
• Cisco ASA and Juniper firewall configuration and maintenance (added advantage)
