Role Overview

The Kitchen Assistant will support daily kitchen operations by helping with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen organization. This role is important in keeping the kitchen safe, clean, and ready for service at all times. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced food service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing food items such as vegetables, sauces, meats, coffee, and simple meals
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, cups, and kitchen utensils after each use
• Clean and arrange kitchen equipment and store them properly
• Sweep, mop, and clean kitchen and dining area floors regularly
• Keep personal work area and the entire kitchen clean and hygienic
• Clean dining areas, storage rooms, and kitchen surfaces as required
• Help arrange groceries using the First In First Out method
• Support other kitchen staff when needed during busy periods
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas remain neat and organized at all times

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic knowledge of kitchen work or food handling
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety rules
• Good physical strength for standing and cleaning tasks
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an advantage but not required

Salary

Monthly pay ranges from N80,000 to N100,000
