Role Overview

The Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for conducting accurate medical laboratory tests to support effective diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and strict adherence to laboratory standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze medical laboratory tests including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and serology

• Collect, label, handle, and store specimens according to standard laboratory procedures

• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability

• Record, analyze, and interpret test results with precision and confidentiality

• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations, quality control, and standard operating procedures

• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support diagnosis and treatment decisions

Qualifications and Skills

• BMLS or equivalent degree in Medical Laboratory Science

• Valid license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant laboratory experience

• Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and high commitment to accuracy

• Residence within or close to Ikorodu is an added advantage

Salary

N300,000 – N350,000 per month
