Through partnerships with international donors like USAID, ECHO, and the UN, PUI offers integrated health and protection services, including treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), reproductive health care, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) support.

In Katsina State, PUI delivers primary healthcare, nutrition, and psychosocial services, collaborating closely with local authorities to reach underserved communities. The organization plays an active role in national technical working groups and continues to respond to emergencies while building long-term resilience in vulnerable populations.

About the Role

PUI is hiring a Livelihoods Supervisor to support the effective delivery of its livelihood programs in Monguno, Borno. Reporting directly to the Livelihood Manager, the Supervisor will lead day-to-day field activities, ensure quality implementation, and provide technical oversight to the field team.

This role is critical to making sure the project meets its goals, supports communities effectively, and aligns with both donor requirements and PUI standards.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation & Monitoring

  • Supervise field-level implementation of all livelihood activities in line with project plans.
  • Ensure inclusive and transparent beneficiary targeting and selection.
  • Organize and oversee assessments including market surveys, post-distribution monitoring, and income-generating activity (IGA) evaluations.
  • Monitor and support beneficiaries’ business initiatives; document best practices.
  • Oversee E-voucher card distributions and manage cash grants with the team.

Community Engagement

  • Work closely with community leaders and local authorities to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Conduct sensitization sessions and mobilize communities around program goals.
  • Supervise and support community volunteers and daily workers.
  • Represent the organization in local community meetings and liaise with project partners.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Livelihood Project Manager.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation efforts, including data collection and surveys.
  • Document success stories, challenges, and key lessons for reporting.

Logistics & Administration

  • Ensure all team activities follow security and operational protocols.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team for materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate field-level inventory and materials usage tracking.

Department Priorities

  • Deliver activities on time and to high quality, ensuring positive impact for beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate with other NGOs and stakeholders to avoid overlap and strengthen partnerships.
  • Participate in assessments to inform future project development.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in livelihoods, community development, or humanitarian aid.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
