Job Title: Logistics Officer
Location: Calabar, Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview
The Logistics Officer will oversee logistics activities, driver supervision, trip monitoring, documentation, and operational reporting at Lafarge Mfamosing. The role ensures smooth operations, compliance, and alignment with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily driver deployments, trip assignments, and return timelines
• Coordinate with Lafarge authorities to process trip codes, loading instructions, and weighbridge documents
• Monitor driver behavior and compliance with safety protocols
• Escalate incidents promptly and support resolution
• Track fleet movement using GPS or telemetry systems
• Prepare and submit daily operational reports
• Verify waybills, loading slips, and delivery documentation
• Support the technical team in scheduling repairs and maintenance
• Work with HR/Admin to enforce driver discipline
• Maintain positive working relationships with client representatives
Qualifications and Skills
• BSc/HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics or transport operations
• Strong supervisory and leadership abilities
• Familiarity with Lafarge operations is an added advantage
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 per month
