Role Overview

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted factory operations. This role supports daily production targets by keeping machines in good working condition and reporting issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machines according to approved operating procedures
• Carry out routine machine checks before, during, and after production
• Monitor machine performance to ensure efficiency and product quality
• Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce breakdowns
• Identify and fix minor mechanical faults to minimize downtime
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and inspections
• Record production data such as material usage, output, and waste
• Report machine faults, safety concerns, and production issues to supervisors

Qualifications and Skills

• OND in Engineering or a related technical field
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
• Basic knowledge of industrial machines and maintenance practices
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills
• Willingness to work shifts when required

Salary

N150,000 to N200,000 per month
