Prosperity Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited (PMBank) is a licensed microfinance institution established in March 2005 and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission under registration number RC 620230. The bank officially began operations on 10th October 2005 and is fully authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria to provide microfinance banking services.

We are currently inviting applications from experienced professionals to join our leadership team as Managing Director.

Job Purpose

The Managing Director will provide overall leadership and direction for the bank. This role is responsible for driving profitability, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening financial sustainability, and promoting financial inclusion across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and implement policies approved by the Board of Directors
• Develop and execute business strategies that enhance profitability, growth, and sustainability
• Ensure compliance with regulations from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NDIC, and other authorities
• Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service excellence
• Lead risk management processes, including credit portfolio, liquidity, and operational risks
• Promote digital transformation and innovative solutions for improved service delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators, shareholders, and the community
• Present operational and financial reports to the Board of Directors on a regular basis
• Uphold corporate governance, accountability, and ethical business practices
• Mentor and motivate management teams and staff to achieve business goals
• Identify opportunities for new products, services, and markets that support financial inclusion

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Master’s Degree (MBA/MSc) and/or professional certifications such as ACIB, ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or CIBN are an added advantage
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in banking, with at least 5 years in senior management roles within microfinance, commercial, or development banking
• Strong knowledge of CBN regulations, credit administration, and financial management
• Proven record of business growth, leadership, and strategic implementation

Salary

N370,000 – N400,000 monthly
