Job Title: Medical Officer
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Job Summary
Eastern and Western Hospital is looking for an experienced and competent Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality medical care, oversee clinical staff, and help develop our medical services for improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up management of various conditions
- Supervise and guide junior doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for best practices
- Take part in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and satisfaction
- Provide mentorship and training to junior medical staff
- Participate in on-call duties and ensure adequate medical coverage
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent qualification
- 1–2 years’ work experience as a medical doctor
- Valid medical license to practice in Nigeria
- Strong clinical expertise with proven leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare systems
Salary
₦250,000 – ₦350,000 per month
