Apple and Pears Limited is an agro allied and food manufacturing company established in 2012. We produce soya-based products such as soya meal, concentrates, and finished poultry feed. Our food products include refined edible oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad cream, vinegar, custard powder, and chocolate drink for the Nigerian market.

Over the years, we have invested heavily in land, buildings, production facilities, and modern machinery. Our operations cover the full soya bean process, from sourcing and processing to extraction, refining, packaging, and distribution. We also support responsible production by using solar energy to power part of our plant and operating a modern effluent treatment system that allows water reuse during production.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Microbiologist to support food safety and quality control activities at our manufacturing facility. The role focuses on microbiological testing, analysis, and monitoring to ensure our products meet safety requirements and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should be detail focused and comfortable working in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out microbiological tests on raw materials, production samples, finished goods, water, and work surfaces
• Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices across the factory
• Review and interpret laboratory test results and report findings to the quality assurance team
• Detect possible microbiological risks and suggest corrective actions
• Keep accurate laboratory records, logs, and test reports
• Follow approved laboratory procedures and food safety guidelines
• Assist during internal audits, inspections, and food safety programs
• Work closely with quality assurance and production teams to maintain product safety

Qualifications and Skills

• OND, HND, or BSc in Microbiology or a related biological science course
• One to four years of work experience in food manufacturing or laboratory testing
• Good understanding of microbiological testing methods and food safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving ability
• Ability to document results clearly and accurately
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a team

Residency Requirement

Applicants must live in Sagamu, Ogun State, or nearby areas to support shift and on-site work requirements.

Salary

Monthly pay is N150,000.
