Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Microwave Radio Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing microwave radio links to ensure smooth network operations and reliable connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design microwave radio links for transmission networks
- Install, configure, align, and integrate microwave equipment
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on radio transmission systems
- Carry out line-of-sight (LOS) and site surveys
- Troubleshoot and resolve transmission faults to reduce downtime
- Collaborate with vendors and engineering teams on network upgrades and optimization
- Ensure installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations
- Prepare reports on site activities, system performance, and project progress
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in microwave radio transmission
- Good knowledge of IP and TDM transmission systems
- Experience with microwave equipment such as Huawei, Ericsson, Ceragon, NEC, or Ubiquiti
- Proficiency in radio planning tools such as Pathloss or Mentum
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Added Advantage:
- Certification in transmission or other telecom-related fields
- Experience in fiber transmission and network integration
Salary
₦300,000 – ₦350,000 per month
